I perceive Beethoven's life as a painful story, despite his great talent and creative blessings. He appears to be someone who longed for love throughout his life but never quite obtained it as he desired, causing him considerable anguish and difficulty.
Of course, it's challenging to make definitive statements about his experiences without having walked in his shoes. Nevertheless, I glean a lesson from his life: it's essential not to succumb to despair, as it can ultimately consume and control us.
I envision a happier Beethoven, playing his music beneath dramatic skies that mirror the intensity of his compositions. How would he have felt? What would his thoughts and daily existence have been like? These are questions I can only speculate on and attempt to capture on canvas.
I don't subscribe to the belief that suffering is a necessary component of artistic or life fulfillment. Living in our era presents its own set of challenges. Let's draw upon the lessons of past generations and integrate them with our unique skill sets, allowing us to discern between positive and negative influences, between misery and the drive for a fulfilled life.
